¡Bienvenidos!

Welcome to my blog. I plan to use this tiny slice of the web to share the things I learn on my pursuit to mastery of the Spanish language.

So what will I be talking about, you ask?

Well, Ill start off by telling you what I won't be talking about.

I'm not going to be posting about grammar rules, verb conjugation or anything that has to do with the academic study of Spanish. There's more than enough sites on the web that do a much better job of that than I ever could.

I'm going to talk about something a lot more interesting - the things I learn from my real life conversations with real people. After all, having conversations with people is how you learn a language. And there's so many things you need to know that you just won't get from a book.

Speaking of conversation, anyone who has been a student of Spanish long enough knows that there are many regional variations of Spanish (as if learning the language wasn't hard enough), Castellano, Argentina, and so on. Most of the notes I'll be posting will be in regard to either neutral or Mexican Spanish, since most of the people and teachers I speak with are Mexican. However, I will make an effort to let you know about any regional differences that I'm aware of.

I have no official update schedule, just whenever I have time, and of course, something worth posting about. Although I hope to post on somewhat of a regular basis.

Feel free to leave comments, especially if you've got additional information to add, or you see something that needs to be corrected.

Well, I guess this brings the obligitory "welcome" post to an end, and from here on out it, it's all about the Spanish!
